In common with all other Shareware programs available on the Internet, sales of Crossword Express have been in decline for a number of years. This is despite the fact that the program has been continuously updated with many new features. It isn't because Crossword Express is not popular. It has been caused by the prevalence of keygens. These are small simple downloads which can be used to generate a key which unlocks the program. They are available for most programs which make use of an unlocking key, and they can be downloaded from hundreds of web sites. Some of these sites have download counters which reveal that the keygen for Crossword Express has been downloaded tens of thousands of times. Perhaps you know about this. Perhaps you have even done it yourself for other programs if not in fact for Crossword Express.
It is quite clear then that the great majority of people who are using Crossword Express are using a copy for which they haven't paid a cent, and there seems to be absolutely nothing I can do about it. Since I am getting nothing for my efforts, I may as well give it away for free. Just download it and use it.
Are you a person who believes in paying a fair price for the services you use? If so, you may be prepared to make a contribution to the further development of Crossword Express. Any such requests which are not accompanied by a Registration Number will not receive a reply. Sorry, but replies take time which I would prefer to spend on other activities.
OK! Enough time has passed for you to have collectively made your preferences clear! No donations means that you don't want to see any further developments. The program that you can download now will make the puzzles and will display them for a period of three seconds after which they will disappear. They will not be saved to the hard drive and you will not be able to use them in any way. You can see what you could have had, but now you can't have it.
There are dozens of further puzzle types which could be incorporated into Crossword Express, and there is nothing I would enjoy more than doing exactly that. However, I need some indication that my efforts are appreciated, and that you want me to continue. A donation will indicate that you do. The choice is yours!
